Play is the work of childhood—the chief vehicle for the development of imagination, intelligence, language, social skills, and perceptual-motor abilities in young children. Therefore, the Tarrytown Nursery School grounds its curriculum in a “Learning Through Play” philosophy.
The focus of the program is the individual growth of each child through exploration, experimentation, and first-hand experience. Classes are available for 2, 3 and 4 year olds, enrichment programs for 3 and 4 year olds, as well as a Mommy/Daddy & Me class for children 15-24 months with a caregiver. As well as monthly parents night out, mini-camp during holiday breaks and summer camp.
